Halina J. Schafer made a decision to retire at the end of 2013. That was the year her first great-niece was born. Her plan was to build a scrapbook of events to give to the family on the baby's first birthday. When she did the following summer, it was the family who encouraged her to "do something more with this story." Halina J. Schafer went from Therapist/Administrator of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Clinics to Author in November of 2017. The first book, "Fiona and the Extra Special Invisible Gifts" for ages birth through pre-school led to forming her own self-publishing company, Third-Career Press, LLC. Her second book, "Who Found Who" (an easy-reader chapter book for ages 5-9) practically wrote itself and was published in November of 2018. Halina has a third book coming out in 2020 for "tweens." "So much for retirement!"
Such a unique and beautiful book, so wonderfully written, so happy to have it as a part of our growing collection.
A great beginning and end... in the center as well. A very lighthearted book... you keep the story moving because of the adventures. Wonderful to hear that this is a true story.
Excellent book! It's not only for children it's for adults too. It's a great family book to have!!! Thanks a lot
